Sophie is an artist, writer, and educator from Toronto, Ontario. She began dancing at a young age, falling in love with movement, and went on to do competitive Ballroom dance during her childhood. She progressed into acting and Musical Theatre, and now works as a professional actor after training in England.
Since moving to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Sophie has co-founded the Tin Can Collective, a multidisciplinary performance collective, with a focus on theatre.
Sophie joined the BDA team during our 22nd season as our Events Coordinator and helped expand BDA's offerings to include Voice lessons in our schedule. This season, Sophie is focusing full-time on our Voice program, helping our students excel in multiple areas of the arts.
