Ages 12+

At Bella Dance Academy, dancers ages 12+ have the opportunity to dance in our level A - C classes.
All ages as of December 31st 2026.
Bella Dance Academy’s Level A, B, and C classes, are annual classes designed for dancers ages 12+ to strengthen and refine technique while encouraging artistic growth, confidence, and discipline. Classes place a stronger emphasis on precision, performance quality, stamina, and proper execution of movements as students advance their technical skills.
Dancers registered in any of BDA’s Level A, B, and C classes have the opportunity to participate in BDA’s Year-End Show at the end of the dance season in June 2027 on the Northern Arts and Cultural (NACC) stage. Participation is not required, but highly encouraged. Please notify the office before Sunday, November 1st 2026 if your dancer will not be participating.

Class Descriptions
Jazz
A high-energy, expressive style that combines sharp technique with rhythm and musicality. Known for its dynamic movements, it’s fun, powerful, and full of personality.
Leaps, Jumps, & Turns
Work through conditioning, stretching, and targeted drills to increase power, control, and balance. Emphasis is placed on safe technique, coordination, and consistency, helping dancers execute skills with greater confidence and precision.
Ballet
Known for its grace, precision, and expressive movements, ballet combines strength, flexibility, and technique creating well rounded dancers.
Teen Ballet
A fun, beginner-friendly class for teens new to ballet. Known for its grace, precision, and expressive movements, ballet combines strength, flexibility, and technique creating well rounded dancers.
Pre-Pointe
Prepares dancers for pointe work by strengthening the feet, ankles, and core while refining alignment and ballet technique needed for a safe transition to pointe.
Pointe
Pointe classes focus on the art and technique of dancing en pointe, allowing dancers to build strength, balance, control, and confidence while performing on pointe.
Tap
A rhythmic style of dance focused on musicality and footwork. Dancers create beats and patterns on the floor using precise steps, exploring timing, syncopation, and flow.
Contemporary
Blends modern, ballet, and expressive movement styles, helping dancers build strength, versatility, and emotional connection.
Musical Theatre
A form of performance that combines acting, singing, and dancing to tell a story. Songs and choreography help express emotions and move the plot, creating an engaging and dynamic stage experience.
Actor's Studio
Focused on developing performance skills through scene work, character exploration, and acting exercises. Students build confidence, creativity, and emotional expression while learning techniques to bring characters to life on stage.
Acro
A dynamic class that blends dance with acrobatic technique. Focusing on strength, flexibility, control, and proper alignment with an emphasis on safe progressions and strong technique.

Creative Movement Hip Hop
Build on foundational hip hop grooves and techniques through intricate textures, freestyle exploration, and challenging combos that push dynamics, control, and expression.
Voice
A class that develops vocal technique, strength, and confidence. Students learn breathing, tone, projection, and articulation while exploring a range of songs and styles to improve their overall performance skills.
STAR Leadership Program
Empowering youth of the next generation through a structured leadership curriculum. The STAR Leadership program aims to grow young leaders who impact others here, near, and far. Leaders who can succeed in and out of the classroom. This program also helps improve the overall mental well-being of our students and mentors them to become active leaders in our community.
